Restoring or Destroying DCS Instances in Recycle Bin

DCS provides an instance recycle bin. Instances deleted with Move to Recycle Bin enabled are in Recycle Bin by default. Instances in Recycle Bin can be restored or destroyed. Instances in Recycle Bin are not charged. Restored instances are charged.

Restoring an instance in Recycle Bin recreates an instance with its specifications, parameters, and function configurations, and restores its backup to the new instance.

Notes and Constraints

  • Only DCS Redis 4.0 or later instances can be moved to Recycle Bin.
  • Instances in Recycle Bin are retained for only 7 days, and will be automatically destroyed later.
  • Restored instances use new IDs and addresses.
  • Instances will be restored with SSL disabled by default. The default bandwidth can be restored but the adjusted bandwidth cannot.
  • If an instance (except for a single-node one) is in the Running state before it is deleted or unsubscribed, its data will be automatically backed up during instance deletion.
  • If an instance is in the Faulty or Stopped state before it is deleted or unsubscribed, its data will not be automatically backed up during instance deletion or subscription, but its latest backup will be saved. If there is no such a backup, data restoration becomes unavailable. You are advised to back up instances periodically.
