Billing Items
CSS bills you for your selected instance specifications and usage duration.

Description |

Node instance |
Includes the instance type and specifications (vCPUs and memory), required duration, and the number of purchased instances. You can choose pay-per-use as the billing mode. |
Node storage |
Specifies the disk type. You can select disks of a type based on your business scenario. The billing standard varies depending on the disk type. Currently, CSS supports three billing options: pay-per-use. CSS provides the following types of disks:

Bandwidth |
Specifies the bandwidth. When you enable the public IP address function or Kibana public IP address for a cluster, you will be billed for the bandwidth. Currently, CSS supports three billing options: pay-per-use. CSS provides the following types of bandwidth:
The billing automatically falls into low or high bandwidth based on the bandwidth you select. |
Billing Modes
Changing the Billing Mode
CSS provides multiple node instance specifications. You can choose a certain number of node instances of specific specifications to suit your business needs. You can configure the node storage capacity within the configurable range based on the site requirements.
- Scaling out
The new nodes and node storage capacity added to the cluster are also billed in pay-per-use mode.
- Modifying node specifications
After node specifications are modified, nodes are billed based on new node specifications.
You can add new nodes or modify node specifications for a cluster in runtime. For details, see section Modifying Specifications in the Cloud Search Service User Guide.
