Possible Causes
The number of multicast users on the VAP exceeds the maximum number of multicast group memberships configured for the VAP.
Procedure
- Run the display traffic-profile { all | name profile-name } command to check whether the maximum number of multicast group memberships on the VAP is properly configured.
- If so, the actual multicast traffic is too large, and it is normal that users are prevented from joining multicast groups. No action is required and proceed to Step 5.
- If not, go to Step 2.
- Run the igmp-snooping max-user max-user command to set a large value for the maximum number of multicast group memberships on the VAP.
- Check whether the alarm persists.
- If so, go to Step 4.
- If not, go to Step 5.
- Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
- End.
