Possible Causes
Cause 1:
The number of MAC address entries reaches the threshold.
Procedure
- Check the port status.
- If the port is in restrict state, go to step 2.
- If the port is in shutdown state, go to step 3.
- Run the port-security max-mac-num max-number command to increase the maximum number of secure dynamic MAC addresses that can be learned by an interface. Then check whether the traffic transmission is normal.
- If yes, go to step 5.
- If not, go to step 4.
- Run the undo shutdown command. Then check whether the traffic transmission is normal.
- If yes, go to step 5.
- If not, go to step 4.
- Contact technical support personnel.
- End.
