ALM-15795032 hwStorageUtilizationRisingAlarm

Description

The storage usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.(TrapSeverity=[TrapSeverity], ProbableCause=[ProbableCause], EventType=[EventType], PhysicalIndex=[PhysicalIndex], PhysicalName=[PhysicalName], RelativeResource=[RelativeResource], UsageType=[UsageType], SubIndex=[SubIndex], UsageValue=[UsageValue], Unit=[Unit], UsageThreshold=[UsageThreshold])

Memory or storage usage was sampled for a period of time. In one sampling period (overload times x sampling interval), if each memory or storage usage sample exceeded the pre-set overload threshold, this alarm was generated.

Possible cause, values are as follows:

  • 75264: Memory usage exceeded the overload threshold.
  • 75265: Storage usage exceeded the overload threshold.

EventType

Alarm type.

PhysicalIndex

Physical index.

PhysicalName

Entity name.

RelativeResource

Relevant resource name.

UsageType

Overload type.1 indicates the CPU, 2 indicates the memory, 3 indicates the disk, 4 indicates the flash memory, 5 indicates the CF card, and 6 indicates the physical memory.

Impact on the System

  • Cause 75264: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

If services cannot successfully obtain memory resources, the system automatically restarts.

  • Cause 75265: The storage usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

If the remaining space in the storage medium is insufficient, the log function and software upgrade are affected.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 75264: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
  • Cause 75265: The storage usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

Procedure

  • Cause 75264: The memory usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
    1. Run the display system memory statistics command to view the memory usage, and run the display memory threshold command to view the overload threshold.
      • If the memory usage exceeded the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
      • If the memory usage is below the overload threshold, go to Step 4.
    2. Reduce unnecessary services or delete unnecessary configurations to reduce the memory usage, and then check whether this alarm is cleared. When deleting service configurations, submit 3~5 configurations at a time.
      • If this alarm is cleared, it indicates that the problem is solved.
      • If this alarm persists, go to Step 3.
    3. Run the set memory threshold command to change the overload threshold, and then check whether this alarm is cleared.
      • If this alarm is cleared, it indicates that the problem is solved.
      • If this alarm persists, go to Step 4.

    4. Collect the alarm information, log information, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support engineers.

  • Cause 75265: The storage usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
    1. Run the cd command to access the directory, and run the dir command to view the storage usage.
      • If the storage usage exceeded the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
      • If the storage usage is below the overload threshold, go to Step 3.
    2. Delete unnecessary files to reduce the storage usage.
      • If this alarm is cleared, it indicates that the problem is solved.
      • If this alarm persists, go to Step 3.
    3. Collect the alarm information, log information, and configuration information, and contact technical support engineers.

Clearing

After the fault is rectified, the system clears this alarm, removing the need to manually clear it. This alarm will not be displayed on the Current Alarms page.
