Terms

  • Huawei Cloud Flexus X Instance: It is a next-gen flexible cloud server service tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and developers. It offers similar functions to ECS but with added features like flexible vCPU memory ratios, live specification changes, and performance mode support.
  • Elastic Cloud Server (ECS): A scalable, on-demand computing service that enables you to create a secure, reliable, flexible, and efficient application environments.
  • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC): An isolated and private virtual network environment that users can apply for on Huawei Cloud. VPC, along with cloud services like Elastic Public IP (EIP), Cloud Connect, and Direct Connect, enables your cloud resources to securely communicate with each other over the Internet and on-premises networks.
  • Elastic IP (EIP): enables your cloud resources to communicate with the Internet using static public IP addresses and scalable bandwidths. EIPs can be bound to or unbound from ECSs, Bare Metal Servers (BMSs), virtual IP addresses, load balancers, and NAT gateways, to access to or be accessed from the public network.
  • Cloud Container Engine (CCE): provides highly scalable, high-performance, enterprise-class Kubernetes clusters. With CCE, you can easily deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Huawei Cloud.
  • Cloud Search Service (CSS): a fully managed, distributed search engine service that is fully compatible with open-source Elasticsearch. It supports multi-condition search, statistics, and reporting for both structured and unstructured data. CSS works like a database.
  • Distributed Cache Service (DCS): an online, distributed, in-memory cache service that is reliable, scalable, usable out of the box, and easy to manage. Compatible with Redis®, DCS offers single-node, master/standby, and cluster instance types, meeting users' requirements for high concurrency and fast data access.
  • RDS for PostgreSQL: PostgreSQL is an open source object-relational database management system focused on scalability and standards compliance. It is recognized as the most advanced open source database in the industry. RDS for PostgreSQL is designed for business-oriented OLTP scenarios requiring complex SQL processing. It supports NoSQL data types (JSON, XML, and HStore) and geographic information system (GIS) data types, and is renowned for its reliability and data integrity. It is suitable for internet websites, location-based applications, and complex data object processing.
  • NAT Gateway: provides both public and private NAT gateways. A public NAT gateway provides SNAT and DNAT to let cloud servers in a VPC share an EIP to communicate with the Internet. A private NAT gateway allows cloud servers in a VPC to use the same private IP address to access or provide services accessible from an on-premises data center or a remote VPC.
