      Cloud Trace Service

CTS records operations performed on cloud resources of your account so that you can better implement security analysis, resource changes, compliance audits, and fault locating. In addition, you can enable Object Storage Service (OBS) to store operation records to OBS buckets in real time for a longer period of storage.

        Trace

A trace is a cloud resource operation record tracked and stored by CTS. It can be considered as an audit log. You can view traces to see a history of operations performed by a specific user on specific resources.

        Trace file

A trace file is a collection of traces generated during a specified time period. Trace files are compressed and automatically delivered to OBS buckets for archiving. CTS adjusts the number of traces contained in a trace file based on the number of operations.

        Trace list

The trace list is the console interface on which you can display and query traces. It enables you to retrieve details of a required trace by selecting one or more conditions such as composite time, service type, resource type, resource ID, resource name, operation name, trace status, and operator.

        Tracker

Trackers are dedicated resources of CTS. They can track and record audit logs. Two types of trackers can be created, respectively management tracker and data tracker. The management tracker tracks creation, deletion, and change operations performed on all resources of a tenant while the data management tracks operations of reading and writing data that the tenant stores in OBS buckets. A management tracker will be automatically created after CTS is enabled. However, data trackers must be created manually.
