What Is Cost Data?

Cost data is calculated based on billing data. They are used as a reference for cost management.

There are original costs and amortized costs available in Cost Center.

Original costs reflect the actual payments in your bills. You can distinguish them by cost allocation identifiers, such as cost tags and cost categories. There is an appropriately one-hour delay before data from Billing Center shows up as original costs for the current month in Cost Center.

Amortized costs refer to the effective costs after the original costs are amortized on a daily basis. They reflect the actual daily costs of upfront resources. Amortized costs are calculated once every day, and some data may take longer than 24 to 48 hours to be displayed.

For details, see Cost Type.
