Why Are the Submodules Not Being Pulled During My Build?

Symptoms

When pulling code from CodeArts Repo, GitHub, or other sources, CodeArts Build is not pulling the submodules even though the .gitmodules file exists and the configuration is correct.

Cause Analysis

This problem typically occurs when the submodules are not set up for automatic updates.

Solution

Edit your build task. Click the Configure Code Download action, and toggle on Auto Update for submodules.
