Overview

SMS allows you to migrate a server into a specific enterprise project. For details about enterprise projects, see What Is Enterprise Project Management Service?

You must enable the EPS service for the Huawei Cloud account you will migrate to. When you start the SMS Agent on a source server, the Agent lists all enterprise projects the account is allowed to access. You can select the enterprise project you would like to migrate the source server to. This enables you to isolate permissions, resources, and finance during the migration.

Enabling an Enterprise Project

To migrate servers to an enterprise project, enable an enterprise project first. For details, see Enabling Enterprise Project and Accessing Project Management.

Creating an Enterprise Project

After enabling the enterprise project function, you can create a project by referring to Enterprise User Permissions and Project Management. Create the user group Test_EPS and IAM user Test_EPS_User, and add the IAM user to the user group. Then create the enterprise project Test_EPS_Project.

Test_EPS, Test_EPS_User, and Test_EPS_Project are examples only. You need to change the names as required.
