Changing Permissions for a Database Account
Scenarios
You can authorize database users you have created to specific databases or revoke permissions from authorized database users.
Constraints
- Exercise caution when changing account permissions. Inappropriately configured account permissions can affect the DB instance or workloads.
- This operation is not allowed for instances that are being restored.
Procedure
- Log in to the management console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region and a project. - Click
in the upper left corner of the page and choose Database > Relational Database Service. - On the Instances page, click the target DB instance to go to the Basic Information page.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Databases and Accounts and click the Accounts tab.
- Locate the target account and click Change Permission in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, select unauthorized databases and click
to authorize them. You can also select authorized databases and click
to revoke permissions. If there are no unauthorized databases, you can create one by referring to Creating a Database.
- Click OK.
