Application Scenarios

GeminiDB provides instance backup to ensure data reliability. After an instance is deleted, the manual backup data is retained. Automated backup data is released together with instances. Backup data cannot be downloaded or exported.

You are advised to configure an appropriate automated backup policy to prevent data loss caused by misoperations or service exceptions.

Solution

The automated backup policy is enabled by default. You can modify the automated backup policy as required.

If you have disabled the automated backup policy, enable it.

Rule Logic

  • If no automated backup policy is enabled for a GeminiDB instance, the instance is non-compliant.
  • If the automated backup policy is enabled for a GeminiDB instance, the GaussDB instance is compliant.
