Changing the Number of Proxy Nodes

Scenarios

After read/write splitting is enabled, you can change the number of proxy nodes as required.

Prerequisites

• Read/write splitting has been enabled.
• The primary instance, read replicas, and database proxies must be all available if you want to change nodes of ELB proxies.

Constraints

• The number of proxy nodes ranges from 2 to 8.
• Only one order can be created at a time for changing the instance classes or nodes of multiple yearly/monthly proxies of the same DB instance.

Procedure

1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > Relational Database Service.
4. On the Instances page, click the instance name.
5. In the proxy information area on the Database Proxy page, click Change next to the Proxy Nodes field.
6. Set the number of proxy nodes and click Next.

7. Confirm the settings and click Submit.
