Create a review checklist template

Review check items are aggregated using a review checklist template. Review check items used in work items or reviews are also based on the review checklist template. Therefore, you need to create a review checklist template. For details, see Creating a Review Checklist Template.

Create review check items in the template

A review checklist template can contain multiple review check items. After creating a review checklist template, you need to create review check items in the template. For details, see Creating a Review Check Item in the Template.

Create a field of the review check item type

Review check items are applied to specific work items as fields of the review check item type. Therefore, you need to create a field of this type and specify the associated review checklist template for the field. For details, see Creating a Field of the Review Check Item Type.

Add the field to the work item type

After creating a field of the review check item type, you need to add it to the field list of the corresponding work item type. For details, see Adding a Review Check Item Field to a Work Item Type.

Configure the field behaviors on the creation page

After adding a field of the review check item type to a work item type, if you have special requirements for the field behavior on the creation page (for example, you want the field to be mandatory on the work item creation page), you need to configure the field behaviors on the creation page. For details, see Configuring the Behaviors of A Review Check Field on the Creation Page.

Configure the field behaviors on the details page

After adding a field of the review check item type to a work item type, if you have special requirements for the field behavior on the details page (for example, you want the field to be mandatory in some statuses on the work item details page), you need to configure the field behaviors on the details page. For details, see Configuring the Behaviors of A Review Check Field on the Details Page.

Enable review check items in review settings

If review check items need to be used in reviews, you need to enable them in the review settings. For details, see Enabling Review Check Items in Review Settings.

Use review check items in work items

After configuring review check item fields and their behaviors, you can view the fields added in Adding a Review Check Item Field to a Work Item Type when creating a work item in a project or accessing the work item details page. You can then fill in the review results and remarks. For details about how to use review check items in work items, see Using Review Check Items in Work Items.

Use review check items in reviews

After enabling review check items in review settings and setting the review check item template associated with the review, you can view the review check items associated with the review when initiating a review or performing a review/decision-making in a project.
