Configuring the Field Behaviors on the Creation Page

After adding a field of the review check item type to a work item type, if you have special requirements for the field behavior on the creation page (for example, you want the field to be mandatory on the work item creation page), you need to configure the field behaviors on the creation page in the field behavior configuration of the work item type template.

Prerequisites

A work item type template corresponding to the work item type where the review check item field to be displayed is located already exists. If the template does not exist, configure it by referring to Configuring Work Item Type Templates.

Configuring the Behaviors of A Review Check Field on the Creation Page

  1. Access the CodeArts Req homepage and click .
  2. Choose All Account Settings.
  3. Choose Work Item Management > Template Settings > Work Item Type Templates. The existing work item type templates are displayed.
  4. Select the work item type template to be edited and click . Its Work item level configuration page is displayed.
  5. Click Next. The Field behavior configuration page is displayed.
  6. Configure the field behavior of each work item type in the work item type template.

    1. Select the work item type to be configured on the left.
    2. Find the review check item field in the field behavior configuration list.
    3. Configure the field behaviors by referring to Table 1.

      Parameter

      Description

      New Page Display

      Specify whether to display the field on the creation page.

      • If the switch is toggled on (), the field is displayed on the creation page.
      • If the switch is toggled off (), the field is not displayed on the creation page.

      New page required

      Specify whether the field is mandatory on the creation page.

      • If the switch is toggled on (), the field is mandatory on the creation page.
      • If the switch is toggled on (), the field is optional on the creation page.

      Baseline Locked

      Fields of the review item type cannot be baselined. Therefore, you do not need to set this parameter.

      Used for Quickly Splitting Sub-Work Items

      Review check item fields cannot be quickly broken down into sub-work items. Therefore, you do not need to set this parameter.

      default value

      Unavailable for review check item fields. Therefore, you do not need to set it.

  7. After configuring the field behaviors for all review check item types, click Release.

    The Release of the template is RELEASE. You can use the template in corresponding projects.
