Creating Elasticsearch Data Connections
Before establishing a data connection to Elasticsearch, ensure that the following conditions are met:
- You have obtained the IP address and port number of the Elasticsearch data source.
- A CDM cluster is used as the network agent to ensure that DLV can communicate with Elasticsearch. A CDM cluster is available and can communicate with Elasticsearch.
Creating Elasticsearch Data Connections
- Log in to the DLV console.
- On the Data page, click the workspace drop-down list at the top of the page, select the workspace to be accessed, and click New Data Connection.

- In the New Data Connection dialog box, set Data Source Type to Elasticsearch and set the related parameters.

When you create a connection to Elasticsearch, configure the parameters as described in Table 1.
Table 1 Elasticsearch data connection parameters Parameter
Description
Name
Name of the data connection. Must contain 1 to 32 characters and contain only letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
Host
Intranet IP address of the Elasticsearch cluster to be connected.
Port
Port number of the Elasticsearch cluster to be connected.
Security Mode
Whether the security mode will be enabled for the Elasticsearch cluster you want to connect to. By default, the security mode is disabled.
Username
Administrator account name of the Elasticsearch cluster. This parameter is valid only when Security Mode is enabled.
Password
Administrator password of the Elasticsearch cluster. This parameter is valid only when Security Mode is enabled.
Agent
Select an available connection agent, such as VPC connection, CDM proxy, or Internet.
NOTE:Elasticsearch is not a fully managed service and thus cannot be directly connected to DLV. A CDM cluster serves as an agent that enables communication between them.
schema
Enter a mapping name that is different from the index name.
- Click OK.
Using Elasticsearch Data Sources
You can configure and use the Elasticsearch data source by referring to the instructions in Using DWS Data Sources.
