Encrypting a Repository Using KMS
Use Key Management Service (KMS) to encrypt repositories of CodeArts Repo to enhance code security. Your custom keys are under your own management. With your grant, the service uses the custom keys specified by you to encrypt repositories.
Constraints
Currently, KMS encryption is available only to the LA-Sao Paulo1 region.
Enabling Repository Encryption
- On the CodeArts homepage, click the username in the upper right corner. In the displayed dialog box, choose All Account Settings > Repo > Repository Encryption. The Repository Encryption page is displayed.
- Configure repository encryption by referring to Table 1.

Type
- No: Disable KMS encryption. To select this option, go to the Settings tab page of all encrypted repositories and disable repository encryption.
- KMS: This option is selected by default.
Settings
If KMS encryption is enabled, the following parameters are displayed:
- Key Name: Select a key from the drop-down list. If no key is available, click View Keys to go to the key management page and create a key by referring to .
- Key ID: identifies the key used to encrypt a repository. This parameter is displayed after you set Key Name.
- Key Status: The default status is Enabled.
- Encrypt new repositories by default: If this function is enabled, the repository encryption function is enabled for new repositories by default when you create them.
Encrypted Repositories
The list of encrypted repositories is displayed. You can view the repository paths and owners.
