Configuring Automatic Inspection

Scenarios

CBH provides the automatic inspection function. You can configure automatic inspection to periodically check resource account passwords, and check connectivity of hosts and application servers to ensure that resources managed by your bastion host instance are online.

Prerequisites

You have the operation permissions for the System module.

Enabling Automatic Inspection for Hosts and Application Servers

After the host inspection is enabled, the system automatically checks the connectivity of hosts and application servers to your bastion host instance at 01:00 on the 6th, 16th, and 26th day of each month. The Telnet command is used to check the connectivity. The local loopback address is not checked.

  1. Log in to your bastion host system.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose System > System Config > Security.
  3. On the right of the Auto Inspect Config area, click Edit.
  4. Turn on the switch on the right of Host Inspect to the state.
  5. Click OK.

Enabling Automatic Inspection for Resource Accounts

After account inspection is enabled, the system automatically checks the passwords of resource accounts at 01:00 on the 5th, 15th, and 25th days of each month. The account inspection function is enabled by default.

  1. Log in to your bastion host system.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose System > System Config > Security.
  3. On the right of the Auto Inspect Config area, click Edit.
  4. Turn on the switch on the right of Account Inspect to the state.
  5. Click OK.

Follow-up Operations

After automatic inspection is enabled, you can click in the upper right corner to access the task center and check the inspection result.
