Managing Application Servers

Editing Application Server Information

1. Log in to your bastion host system.
2. Choose Resource > Application > AppServer.
3. Click the name of the target application server or Manage in the Operation column. The application server details page is displayed.
4. In the Basic Info area, view the details about the application server and click Edit on the right.
5. In the displayed dialog box, edit the basic information about the application server. For details about the parameters, see Table 1.
   

   The OS type for application servers cannot be edited.

6. Confirm the information and click OK.

Deleting One or More Application Servers

1. Log in to your bastion host system.
2. Choose Resource > Application > AppServer.
3. Click the name of the target application server or Delete in the Operation column. In the dialog box displayed, confirm the information and click OK.
   

   If you delete an application server, resources that are using the server will be disconnected from the bastion host immediately. No more operations can be performed for the resources. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

Batch Exporting Application Servers

1. Choose Application > AppServer and select the application server resources to be exported.

   If no application servers are selected, information about all application servers is exported by default.

2. Click in the upper right corner. Confirm the export in the displayed dialog box.
   • Set an encryption password to encrypt the exported file.
   • Enter your password.
   • Select the CSV or Excel format.

3. Click OK. After the task is created, click Go to Download Center. If the export progress reaches 100%, click Download in the Operation column. Then you can view the exported application server resource information in the downloaded file.

Changing the Department an Application Server Belongs To

1. Log in to your bastion host system.
2. Choose Resource > Application > AppServer.
3. Select all target application servers and choose More > Edit Dept in the lower left corner of the list. In the dialog box displayed, select the target department, confirm the information, and click OK.
   

   The department for all the selected servers will be edited. The batch operation cannot be canceled. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

Manually Verifying Application Server Connectivity

You can initiate connectivity verification for managed application servers to check the network connectivity and check whether the resources are online.

The system also provides the automatic application server inspection function. If you enable this function, the system automatically checks the application server connectivity periodically. For details, see Enabling Automatic Inspection for Hosts and Application Servers.

1. On the AppServer page, select one or more application servers for which you want to verify connectivity.
2. Click Verify Connectivity in the lower left corner of the list.
3. In the dialog box displayed, configure connectivity verification parameters.

   Table 1 Connectivity verification parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Timeout	Timeout interval of connectivity verification. If the connection fails within the specified time, the verification result is abnormal. Value range: 1 to 30, in seconds.
   Done notification	Notification method after the connectivity verification task is complete. The options are Email and SMS. The recipients configured in Configuring the Alarm Sending Scope can receive the task completion notification by email or SMS.

4. Click OK.

   After the task is initiated, you can click in the upper right corner to access the task center and view the verification result. Alternatively, you can receive the verification result in the notification method configured in 3.
