Viewing the Exception Monitoring Item of a Component
This type of monitoring item monitors application exception logs. Take the monitoring of Java exception logs as an example. Once you use the log system to print logs, they will be collected by APM. The types of exceptions to be collected vary depending on the collector type.
Procedure
- Log in to the APM console.
- Click
on the left and choose Management & Governance > Application Performance Management. - In the navigation pane, choose Performance Monitoring > Components.
- In the filter bar on the left, select a region and an application.
- Click a component name in the Component column. The component details page is displayed.
- Click the Exceptions tab. By default, the exception logs of all instances are displayed. For details about the metrics, see Table 1.

- On the Exceptions tab page, select a target instance and then select Exception to view the exception monitoring data.
You can also perform the following operations if needed:
- Set a time range to view data. Select a time range. Default: Last 20 minutes.
Options: Last 3 minutes, Last 5 minutes, Last 10 minutes, Last 20 minutes, Last 1 hour, Last 3 hours, Last 6 hours, Last day, Today, Yesterday, Last week, Last month, and Custom.
- Click
in the upper right corner of the list. In the Table Settings dialog box, select or deselect columns to show or hide them. - Click
in the upper right corner of the list to export information. A maximum of 100 records can be exported. - Click the blue text in the Message column to view the message time and content.
- Click Detail in the Error Stack column to view exception details.
- Click History in the Error Stack column to view the historical error stack list.
- Click Detail in the Error Trace column to view trace details.
- Click History in the Error Trace column to view trace history.
- Click the blue text in the Version column to view details.
- Set a time range to view data. Select a time range. Default: Last 20 minutes.
