About Resource Tags
Why Does the Tag Column Show No tags yet Even Though I Have Created a Tag Key?
Creating a tag key is only the first step; it does not automatically generate a complete tag. A resource is only considered "tagged" once a specific value is associated with that key. To complete the key-value pair, you need to bind a value to the resource.
Why Did My Newly Created Tag Key Disappear After a Page Refresh?
Tag keys that are not associated with any cloud resources are often treated as temporary or "pending." Because the key is not yet associated with an active resource, the system does not persist the record after the session refreshes. To prevent this, you must complete the key-value pair and associate it with a resource before refreshing the page.
How Can I Associate a Tag Value with a Resource Once the Key Is Created?
Navigate to the Search Results pane of the tag management page and click Edit. Locate the corresponding resource, click the plus sign (+) to open the input field, enter the value, and save your changes. The tag key and value are now successfully associated with the resource.
When Does a Tag Take Effect After the Tag Value Is Added?
Once you enter the tag value and save your changes, the association takes effect immediately. You can then use the tag to filter, search, and manage your cloud resources.
Must I Delete Tags One by One from a Single Resource?
No.
You can select the specific cloud resource and click Manage Tag above the list. In the tag editing side pane, you can remove tags individually or associate and delete them in batches.
What Are the Risks and Precautions for Deleting Tags in Batches?
Exercise extreme caution when performing batch deletions. Once you confirm the action, the association between the selected tags and their cloud resources is removed. Deleted tags cannot be restored.
When I Delete Tags in Batches, Are Only the Tags of the Selected Resources Deleted?
Yes.
Only the tags associated with the selected cloud resources are deleted. Tags of resources that have not been selected remain unaffected.
How Can I Search for a Specific Tag More Accurately?
In the search results, you can filter for tags by specifying the tag key, the tag value, or both to narrow down the results.
