Changing the Security Group of a GeminiDB DynamoDB-Compatible Instance

Scenarios

Database applications may require security group rules to be adjusted dynamically to meet service requirements. If the current security group cannot support a specific scenario, such as cross-VPC access, connection failures or security risks may occur. In this case, change the security group of the instance to ensure compliance and security while maintaining high service availability.

Usage Notes

The security group of an instance cannot be changed while nodes are being added.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Huawei Cloud console.
2. On the Instances page, locate the instance whose security group you want to change and click its name.
3. In the navigation pane, choose Connections.
4. In the Security Group area, click next to the security group name and select the required security group.
   • To submit the change, click . This process takes about 1 to 3 minutes.
   • To cancel the change, click .

5. View the change result.
