Why Do I Fail to Download the Submodule Code?

Symptom

Error code CC.00040010.400 is displayed.

The log contains Could not perform submodule update and and the repository exists, as shown in the following figure.

Cause Analysis

  • Cause 1: You do not have the permission to access the submodule code repository.
  • Cause 2: The submodule code repository does not exist.

Solution

For cause 1:

Configure code repository permissions by referring to Configuring Repo-Level Permissions.

For cause 2:

  1. In the navigation pane, choose Code > Repo.
  2. Click the name of the code repository to be checked to go to its details page.
  3. Delete the file that does not contain the submodule.
