Changing Password of a Database User

Function

This API is used to change password of a database user. Before calling this API:

Learn how to authorize and authenticate it.
Obtain the required region and endpoint.

URI

PUT /v3/{project_id}/instances/{instance_id}/db-users/password

project_id	Yes	String	Project ID of a tenant in a region. To obtain this value, see Obtaining a Project ID.
instance_id	Yes	String	Instance ID, which is compliant with the UUID format.

Request Parameters

Parameter	Mandatory	Type	Description
X-Auth-Token	Yes	String	User token. It can be obtained by calling the IAM API used to obtain a user token. The value of X-Subject-Token in the response header is the token value.
X-Language	No	String	Request language type. The default value is en-us. Values: en-us zh-cn

users	Yes	Array of ResetDatabasePassword objects	List of database users that you want to change the passwords for. The list contains up to 50 database users.

Parameter	Mandatory	Type	Description
name	Yes	String	Database username.
host	Yes	String	Host IP address.
password	Yes	String	Password of the database user. The value can consist of 8 to 32 characters and contain at least three types of the following characters: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters ~!@#$%^*-_=+?,()& You are advised to enter a strong password to improve security and prevent security risks such as brute force cracking.
