The gRPC protocol is supported only by RocketMQ version 5.x, but is not supported by version 4.8.0.
Obtaining Instance Connection Information
- Instance address and port
After an instance is created, you can obtain its IP address in the Connection area on the Overview page on the RocketMQ console. You can configure all IP addresses on a client.
The RocketMQ instance connection address displays the domain name by default. To access the instance using an IP address, hover over the domain name. The IP address is displayed in the floating box.
- Obtain Instance Address (Private Network) IPv4 when connecting to the RocketMQ instance through TCP over the private network.
- Obtain gRPC Connection Address IPv4 when connecting to the RocketMQ instance through gRPC over the private network.
- Obtain Instance Address (Public Network) when connecting to the RocketMQ instance through TCP over the public network.
- Obtain gRPC Connection Address (Public Network) when connecting to the RocketMQ instance through gRPC over the public network.
- Topic name
Obtain the topic name from the Instance > Topics page of the instance on the RocketMQ console.
- Consumer group name
Obtain the consumer group name from the Instance > Consumer Groups page of the instance on the RocketMQ console.
- Username and secret key
Obtain the username from the Instance > Users page on the RocketMQ console. The secret key is the one you manually saved during user creation.
