Binding an EIP to or Unbinding an EIP from a Proxy Instance

After a proxy instance is created, you can bind an EIP to it. Later, you can also unbind the EIP from the proxy instance as required.

Binding an EIP to a Proxy Instance

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.
  3. Click in the upper left corner of the page, choose Database > TaurusDB.
  4. On the Instances page, click the instance name.
  5. In the navigation pane, choose Database Proxy.
  6. Click a proxy instance name to go to the Basic Information page.
  7. In the Proxy Instance Information area, click Bind next to Public IP Address (EIP).
  8. In the displayed dialog box, select an EIP and click OK.
  9. On the Basic Information page, check that the EIP has been bound to the proxy instance.

Unbinding an EIP from a Proxy Instance

  1. On the Instances page, click the instance name.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Database Proxy.
  3. Click a proxy instance name to go to the Basic Information page.
  4. In the Proxy Instance Information area, click Unbind next to Public IP Address (EIP).
  5. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes to unbind the EIP.
  6. On the Basic Information page, check that the EIP has been unbound from the proxy instance.
