Grouping Resources as Applications

Overview

You can divide discovered resources into groups, which we refer to as applications. Subsequent recommendation and migration processes are executed based on these applications.

Procedure

1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
2. In the navigation pane, choose Source Resources.
3. In the Resources area, choose a resource category to view the resource list.
4. Select the resources to be added to an application and choose Group as Application in the upper left corner of the page.
5. Select the application from the drop-down list. If no applications are available, click Create Application in the displayed dialog box. Then enter an application name and description, select a business scenario, environment, and target region, and click Create.
6. Click OK. You can view the application name in the Application column of the resources.
