Publishing Events

Publish events to a channel.

By publishing events, check whether an event source, channel, and target have been connected, whether the configured rules are valid, and whether events can be sent to the target.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Log in to the EG console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Event Channels.
  3. Click Publish Event.
  4. Configure the parameters described in the following table.

    Parameter

    Description

    Channel

    Select a channel.

    Source

    Enter a custom application event source.

    Event Type

    Enter an event type.

    Event Details

    Enter event content in JSON format.

    Timestamp

    Select a timestamp.

  5. Click Preview to preview the event.
  6. Click Publish. If the event is successfully published, a result similar to that in Figure 1 is displayed.

    • To publish more events, click Add Event.
    • You can publish one or more events at a time.
    • To clone an event, click .
    • To delete an event, click .
    • Each event cannot exceed 64 KB.
