Querying Access Key Traces

An access key consists of an Access Key ID (AK) and a Secret Access Key (SK). It is used to identify and verify a user. Leaking your access key could put your resources at risk. CTS helps you monitor access key traces and respond promptly to access key usage exceptions.

This section guides you through using the advanced query function to efficiently query traces related to your access key.

Prerequisites

You have performed the operations in Enabling Advanced Query and Configuring Field Indexing.

Querying Access Key Traces

  1. Log in to the CTS console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Advanced Query.
  3. On the Advanced Query page, click 15 minutes (From now) in the upper right corner to set a query time range.
  4. Enter user.access_key_id:{access_key_id} in the search box and click Search to query traces related to your access key. Replace {access_key_id} with your access key ID.
