Symptoms

The error message unzip: cannot find or open... is displayed.

Cause Analysis

  • The file to be decompressed does not exist.
  • You do not have permissions to perform this operation.

Solution

  • On Windows, check whether the file path contains a backslash (\). If so, replace it with a forward slash (/).
  • Check whether the source path (file) or destination path (file) exists.
  • Check whether the file type is correct and ensure that the file ends in the correct compression format.
  • Enable the sudo permission or modify the permission of the directory file.
