How Do I Modify Alarm Notification Items?

If you do not want to receive certain HSS alarm notifications after HSS is enabled, you can disable the notification items. After it is disabled, you have to log in to the management console to view alarms.

Modifying Alarm Notification Items

  1. Log in to the HSS console.Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. In the upper left corner of the page, click and choose Security > Host Security Service.
  4. In the navigation pane, choose Installation & Configuration.
  5. Choose Alarm Configuration.
  6. Select the events whose alarm notifications are to be masked.
  7. Click Use Message Center settings or Use SMN topic settings.

    • If you click Use Message Center settings,

      Go to the Message Center and choose Message Receiving Management > SMS & Email Settings. In the Security area, click Modify in the row where Security event resides.

    • If you click Use SMN topic settings, select a topic from the drop-down list.

  8. Click Apply. A message will be displayed indicating that the alarm notification is set successfully.

    To modify multiple notification topics, repeat steps 6 to 8.
