Before creating APIs, buy one or more dedicated gateways. If you do not have high performance requirements, you can create and manage APIs under the shared gateway instead.

You can open up access to your services and data through API Gateway to monetize service capabilities.

You can call the open APIs of other providers to accelerate development at low cost.

If you are an API provider, you can import Swagger APIs to API Gateway.
If you are an API provider or caller, you can export APIs from API Gateway.

API Gateway supports multiple API authentication modes and you can also use a custom authorizer for API authentication.

API Gateway provides Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, and allows you to make API calls over HTTPS.

API Gateway provides IAM, app, and none authentication modes for open APIs. You can download SDKs and related instructions for app authentication.
