Why Do I Fail to Obtain an Endpoint?
Symptoms
If the endpoint fails to be obtained during application deployment, the following information is displayed:
- "Failed to get endpoint information. null"
- "Failed to obtain the service endpoint. Check whether it is available."
Cause Analysis
Scenario 1: When IAM authorization is performed during application deployment, the current user (role) is not granted the view permission for a high-privilege user's service endpoint instance.
Scenario 2: The service endpoint does not exist or is incorrectly configured.
Solution
- Edit the application and click Manage in the Authorized User area to go to the Service Endpoints page.
- On the Service Endpoints page, select the endpoint required for application deployment. In the permission matrix, enable the view permission for the role of the account that does not have the permission.
