Can I Expand a Single Shard of a Cluster Instance (Scale-Up)?

The shard size of a cluster DCS Redis 4.0 or later instance can be scaled up. For more information about scale-up impacts, see Impact of scaling.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the console, and choose Application > Distributed Cache Service to go to the DCS page.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console and select the region where your instance is located.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Cache Manager.
  4. Choose More > Modify Specifications in the row containing the desired DCS instance.
  5. Set Sharding to Customize and select a Shard Size.
