Overview

Description

In this section, we will create a DRS synchronization task to synchronize the incremental data from the source RDS MySQL database to the destination Kafka database. This section also describes:

  • How to create an RDS MySQL instance on Huawei Cloud.
  • How to create DMS for Kafka on Huawei Cloud.
  • How to create a DRS synchronization task.

Prerequisites

  • You have registered with Huawei Cloud.
  • Your account balance is greater than or equal to $0 USD.

Service List

  • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
  • Relational Database Service (RDS)
  • DMS for Kafka
  • Data Replication Service (DRS)
  • Data Admin Service (DAS)

Deployment Architecture

In this example, the source is an RDS MySQL instance, and the destination is a DMS for Kafka in the same region. Incremental data of the source database is synchronized to the destination database in a VPC. For details about the deployment architecture, see Figure 1.
