Modifying a Security Group Rule
Scenarios
Improper security group rules may cause serious security risks. For example, security group rules allow access to specific ports. You can modify the port, protocol, and IP address of such rules to ensure the security of your instances.
Prerequisites
A security group has been created, and security group rules have been added to the security group.
Procedure
- Log in to the management console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project. - On the console homepage, under Network, click Virtual Private Cloud.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Access Control > Security Groups.
- On the Security Groups page, click the security group name.
- On the displayed page, locate the row that contains the security group rule to be modified, and click Modify in the Operation column.
- Modify the rule and click Confirm.
