Releasing an API Product

Overview

You can release an API product to the API product catalog so that other users under your account can view and use the API product.

Prerequisites

  • APIs have been added to the API product. An API product to which no API is added cannot be released.
  • The API product status is described as follows:
    • Pending release: You cannot view the API product in the API product catalog.
    • Released: You can view and subscribe to the API product in the API product catalog.
    • Deactivated: You can view the API product in the API product catalog but cannot subscribe to it.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the ROMA Connect console and choose Assets in the navigation pane.
  2. Click Catalog Management in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. On the My Products tab page, click Release on the right of an API product.
  4. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes.
    • If the status of the API product is Released, the API product is successfully released.
    • For a released API product, you can choose More > Deactivate on the right of the API product to deactivate it. The deactivated API product can be viewed in the API product catalog but is not available for subscription. However, users who have subscribed to the API product can still use them.
    • You can click Remove on the right of an API product to remove the API product from the API product catalog.

      API products that have been subscribed to cannot be removed.

  5. Click in the upper left corner of the page to return to the Assets page. On the API Product Catalog tab page, you can view the API product that has been released.
