Live Streaming

You can view the downstream bandwidth, downstream traffic, and number of online viewers of all streaming domain names added to the new version of Live, and the upstream bandwidth and total number of channels of the associated ingest domain names. In addition, you can export the queried downstream bandwidth and traffic details to your local PC.

Notes

  • This function is unavailable in CN North-Beijing1.
  • The billable traffic (the actual network traffic) is about 10% higher than the displayed statistics on the console due to TCP/IP packet header and TCP retransmission consumptions.
  • If your streaming domain name is still deployed in the old version of Live, use the functions in the old version for query. For details, see Downstream Bandwidth, Downstream Traffic, Upstream Bandwidth, and Channels.

About Query

  • You can query historical data of the latest 365 days.
  • You can query statistics in a time span of up to 31 days.
  • You can query the downstream bandwidth and traffic, upstream bandwidth, and channels about up to 10 domain names at the same time. You can query the number of viewers of a single domain name each time.
  • The minimum statistical granularity of downstream bandwidth and traffic, upstream bandwidth, and channels is 5 minutes. For example, data generated from November 6, 2020 08:00:00 (GMT+08:00) to November 6, 2020 08:04:59 (GMT+08:00) is displayed at the statistical point November 6, 2020 08:00:00 (GMT+08:00). The displayed data is the maximum value in the period of the selected granularity.
  • The number of viewers is the number of unique IP addresses. The minimum statistical granularity is 1 minute. For example, data generated from November 6, 2020 08:00:00 (GMT+08:00) to November 6, 2020 08:00:59 (GMT+08:00) is displayed at the statistical point November 6, 2020 08:01:00 (GMT+08:00).

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Live console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Statistics > Live Streaming.
  3. View statistics on the Downstream Bandwidth/Traffic, Upstream Bandwidth, Viewers, or Channels tabs.

Downstream Bandwidth and Traffic

Specify the time, streaming domain name, application name, stream name, province/state, carrier, and statistical granularity. Click Bandwidth or Traffic on the right of the page to view the bandwidth or traffic statistics. In the upper right corner of the Bandwidth Utilization or Traffic Utilization area, click Export to export data.
  • Bandwidth Utilization displays the total bandwidth trend of the selected domain name. You can point to the trend chart and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the X-axis within a time range. You can also view the peak bandwidth of the selected domain names within the query period in the lower part of the Bandwidth Utilization area. See Figure 1.
    Figure 1 Downstream bandwidth statistics
  • Traffic Utilization displays the total traffic trend of the selected domain names. You can point to the trend chart and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the X-axis within a time range. You can also view the traffic consumption of the selected domain names within the query period in the lower part of the Traffic Utilization area. See Figure 2.
    Figure 2 Downstream traffic statistics

The total traffic displayed in the traffic table and traffic trend chart is the sum of traffic measured every 5 minutes and converted from byte into MB, accurate to two decimal places. Therefore, there may be a slight difference from the sum of the values in the Traffic column in the exported traffic table. This is because the values are rounded off during calculation.

Upstream Bandwidth

Specify the time, ingest domain name, application name, stream name, province/state, carrier, and statistical granularity.

Upstream Bandwidth displays the total upstream bandwidth trend of the selected domain names. You can point to the trend chart and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the X-axis within a time range. See Figure 3.

Viewers

Specify the time, streaming domain name, application name, stream name, province/state, carrier, and statistical granularity.

Viewers displays the online unique viewer trend of the selected domain name. You can point to the trend chart and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the X-axis within a time range. See Figure 4.

Channels

Specify the ingest domain names and time.

Channels displays the total channel trend of the selected domain names. You can point to the trend chart and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out on the X-axis within a time range. See Figure 5.
