Changing the Parameter Group Description

The section describes how to modify the description of the parameter group you created so that you can distinguish and identify parameter groups.

The description of a default parameter group cannot be modified.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the DDS console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Parameter Group Management.
  3. On the Parameter Group Management page, locate the target parameter group, and click in the Description column.
  4. Enter new description information. The parameter group description contains a maximum of 256 characters and cannot contain the carriage return character and the following special characters: >!<"&'=

    • To submit the change, click OK. After the modification is successful, you can view the new description in the Description column of the parameter group list.
    • To cancel the change, click Cancel.
