Preparing an iOS Development Environment

Installing Xcode

Xcode 10.0 or later is recommended.

Procedure

Xcode is an integrated development environment (IDE) for iOS-based development. The following describes how to use Xcode 10.0 to create an iOS development environment. If you have installed and configured Xcode, skip this section.

  1. Register an Apple ID.
  2. Search for Xcode in App Store and click GET.
  3. After Xcode is downloaded, click Lanchpad. Xcode is displayed.
