Scenario

You can bind an EIP to a server to enable the server to access the Internet.

Binding an EIP to a NAT Gateway

Scenario

After a NAT gateway is bound to an EIP, multiple servers (such as ECSs, BMSs, and Workspace desktops) can share the EIP to access the Internet or provide services accessible from the Internet.

You can create an SNAT rule to allow servers in a specific VPC subnet to share an EIP to access the Internet.

You can create a DNAT rule to enable ECSs in a VPC to provide services accessible from the Internet.

Binding an EIP to a Load Balancer

Scenario

A public network load balancer provides load balancing services through an EIP and routes requests from the clients to backend servers over the Internet.
