Billing Items

Billing Policy

  • The usage billed for SQL jobs includes computing usage and storage usage.
    • The computing usage can be calculated using either of the following two modes:
      • Charging by CUH.
      • Charging by the volume of data scanned.
      NOTE:
      • Compute unit (CU) is the pricing unit of queues. A CU contains four cores and 16-GB memory. The computing capabilities of queues vary with queue specifications. The higher the specifications, the higher the computing capability.
      • For SQL jobs, charging by CUH is recommended, for you can have exclusive resources and clear costing.
    • Storage usage: The storage usage is charged according to the amount of data stored in the DLI service.
      NOTE:

If data is stored on OBS, then storage usages are billed for OBS, instead of DLI.

  • Usages billed for Spark job: You are billed by CUH.

Billing Mode

  • The usage billed for SQL jobs includes computing usage and storage usage.
    • There are two billing modes. It is recommended that the billing mode be set to CU, which can be used exclusively and the cost accounting is clear.
      • Charging by CUH: It is based on the number of CUs, unit price, and usage duration. You are billed for used CUs on an hourly basis (rounded up to the nearest hour).

Billing for used CUs = Number of CUs x Usage duration x Unit price

      • Charging by the volume of data scanned: The usage is charged based on the data volume scanned and the unit price. The charging mode is applicable only to SQL jobs.

Billing for the volume of data scanned = Volume of data scanned during SQL execution (GB) x Unit price

    • Charging by the volume of data stored: It is based on the unit price, data volume, and duration stored in the DLI. You are billed for used storage on an hourly basis (rounded up to the nearest hour).

Billing for data stored on DLI = Unit price x Storage data volume x Storage duration

  • usages billed for Spark jobs:

Charging by CUH: It is based on the number of CUs, unit price, and usage duration. You are billed for used CUs on an hourly basis (rounded up to the nearest hour).

Billing for used CUs = Number of CUs x Usage duration x Unit price

Price Details

  • Usages billed for SQL jobs: The computing resources and storage resources of DLI service are charged separately. Both billing modes are based on service duration in the unit of hour.
    • Billing for computing resources
      • Computing resource billing based on the requested CUH. Computing usage = Number of CUs x Unit price x Usage duration of CUs.
The billing mode varies according to whether the user subscribes to the CUH package.
        • If a user does not subscribe to a CUH package, the system charges the user based on the actual usage duration of the requested CUH. For details about the unit price, see Table 1.

          Pricing Basis

          Unit Price

          ¥/CUH

          1.40

        • If you subscribe to a package in advance, you are billed based on the CUH in the package. When the package is used up, you will be billed for the extra traffic based on the actual CUH. The price of the package is shown in Table 2. The validity period of a package is one month. If a package is not used up within the validity period, the package is automatically cleared.

      • Computing resource billing based on the volume of data scanned. Computing usage = Unit price x Volume of data scanned. If no queue is specified when a user submits a job, the job uses the internal default queue and performs billing based on the amount of data scanned. For details about the unit price, see Table 3.

    • Billing for storage resources

The storage usage = Amount of data to be stored x Unit price x Duration that data is stored. Table 4 describes the unit price for storage resources.

  • Billing for Spark jobs is based on used CUH: Spark job usage = Number of CUs x Unit price x Usage duration of CUs. For details, see Table 1 and Table 2.
