Buying DIS

Pay-per-Use Billing

DIS uses pay-per-use billing. The process of buying DIS is to log in to the DIS console and click Buy Stream. For details, see Creating a DIS Stream.

Discount Package

You can obtain DIS discounts by logging in to the DIS console and click Buy Discount Package.

To buy a discount package, do as follows:
  1. Log in to the DIS console.
  2. Click Buy Discount Package in the upper right corner of the page. The page for buying a discount package is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.
    Understand the following before buying a discount package:
    • A discount package contains only the stream usage fee.
    • A discount package can be used only in its bound region.
    • Within the validity period, the fee is deducted from the discount package quota. The fee beyond the quota is settled in pay-per-use mode.
    • After a discount package is purchased, you need to manually create DIS streams.
    • A discount package takes effect after it is successfully purchased. During the validity period, if you do not use DIS resources, the period will not be extended. Therefore, you are advised to properly plan the resource usage before purchasing a discount package.

    The time when a discount package takes effect is the time when the order is completed, that is, the order is in Completed state.

  3. After selecting a discount package to be purchased, click Next.
  4. After the discount package is purchased, return to the DIS console, click Buy Stream, and create a DIS stream specified in the discount package. During the validity period of the discount package, the system does not deduct fees from your account.

    If the DIS stream that you are creating is not of the type specified in the package, the system deducts fees based on pay-per-use.
