It is recommended that the average bitrate for 4K (30fps) video be over 80 Mbit/s, 1,080p video over 20 Mbit/s, 720p video over 12 Mbit/s, and 480p video over 8 Mbit/s.

CBR

It is recommended that the bitrate for 1,080p video be about 30 Mbit/s, 720p video over 15 Mbit/s, and 480p video over 10 Mbit/s.

Video frame rate

Fixed frame rate

23.98/24, 25, and 29.97/30. The variable frame rate is not supported.

Other video requirements

Adaptive I frame

It is recommended that the maximum I frame interval be less than 10s. Fixed I frame intervals are supported.

B frame

It is recommended that the maximum number of consecutive B frames be less than 6.

Reference frame

It is recommended that the number of reference frames be less than 5.

Interleaving encoding

You are advised to provide progressive source video. Only 2:3 pull-down is supported.

Audio

Input audio file encoding format

AAC, AC3, EAC3, HE-AAC, MP2, MP3, PCM (s161e, s16be, s241e, s24be, DVD), and WMA

Output audio file format

MP3, MP4, and ADTS

Audio sampling rate

22.05 kHz, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, or 96 kHz

Audio channel

  • 5.1 surround sound, stereo, and mono are supported for mono audio track.
  • Mono is supported for multiple audio tracks.
