Subscribing to AI Applications from EI Cloud Services (To Be Discontinued)

You can subscribe to AI applications developed by other EI cloud services and quickly deploy them as edge services on the ModelArts management console.

On the Edge Subscriptions page, AI applications have the following statuses: Normal, Unpaid, and Expired

  • Normal: indicates that an AI application has been paid and is available. Pay attention to the number of remaining days.
  • Unpaid: indicates that an AI application purchase order has been submitted but not paid or an AI application is not purchased. The AI application cannot be deployed. After the AI application is paid, the status of the AI application changes to Normal.
  • Expired: indicates that an AI application expires and cannot be deployed. After the AI application is renewed, the status of the AI application changes to Normal.

Constraints

  • Models can only be deployed as edge services.
  • Only AI applications of some services are supported. New services will be continuously available.

Purchasing an AI Application

After AI applications are subscribed to in other AI services, the subscribed AI applications will be displayed in AI Application Management > AI Applications > Edge Subscriptions on the ModelArts management console. AI applications can be deployed only after being purchased.

  1. Log in to the ModelArts management console and choose AI Application Management > AI Applications > Edge Subscriptions from the left navigation pane.
  2. On the Edge Subscriptions page, select a model in the Unpaid status, and click Buy in the Operation column.
  3. On the displayed page, set Advanced Settings and Required Duration and click Next.
  4. On the Confirm tab page, check the configurations and click Submit to create a notebook instance.
  5. On the payment page, confirm the amount to be paid, select a payment method, and click Confirm Payment.

After the payment is complete, you can click the link on the page to quickly return to the management console of the AI service (for example, Face Recognition) for which the model is subscribed or the Subscribed Models page.

Deploying AI Applications

You can deploy an AI application in the Normal status as an edge service.

  1. On the Edge Subscription page, select a model in the Normal status, and click Deploy in the Operation column.
  2. On the deployment page, enter an edge service name and description, and set the AI Application and Configuration and Edge Node parameters.

Select available specifications based on the list displayed on the console. The specifications in gray cannot be used.

    Environment Variable

Set environment variables and inject them to the pod.

    Edge Node

Edge nodes are your edge computing devices used to run edge applications, process your data, and collaborate with cloud applications securely and conveniently.

Click Add. In the Add Node dialog box that is displayed, select an edge node. Select a created node and click OK.

  3. Confirm the settings, and click Next.

After the edge service is created, go to the Edge Services page to view the service status. If Status is Running, the edge service has been deployed. For details about how to access edge services, see Accessing an Edge Service.

Renewing an AI application

You can renew an AI application that has expired or is normal.

  1. On the Edge Subscriptions page, select an AI application in the Expired or Normal status, and click Renew in the Operation column.
  2. On the Renew page, select Renewal Duration and click Pay.
  3. On the payment page, confirm the amount to be paid, select a payment method, and click Confirm Payment.

After the payment is complete, you can click the link on the page to quickly return to the management console of the AI service (for example, Face Recognition) for which the AI application is subscribed or the Edge Subscriptions page.

Unsubscribing a Model

You can unsubscribe an AI application in the Normal status that you will no longer use. An AI application that has been deployed as an edge service cannot be unsubscribed. If you want to unsubscribe an AI application, delete the edge service deployed using the AI application first.

  1. On the Edge Subscription page, select a model in the Normal status, and click Unsubscribe in the Operation column.
  2. On the Unsubscribe page, select a reason for unsubscription and click Confirm.
  3. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Yes.

After the unsubscription request is submitted, you can click the link on the page to view the unsubscription progress.
