Can Backend Servers in Different Regions Be Added to a Load Balancer?
This is supported by dedicated load balancers only. Backend servers can be from a peer VPC, a VPC connected through a cloud connection, or an on-premises data center at the other end of a Direct Connect or VPN connection. The peer VPC, the VPC connected through a cloud connection, and the on-premises data center may be in different regions from the dedicated load balancers.
