Yes.
A discount package takes effect from the date of purchase and automatically expires when the subscription period ends. This period is fixed even if you do not run a GaussDB(DWS) cluster. To save costs, create a cluster immediately after purchasing a discount package, or purchase the package after creating a cluster.
Your package expires at the end of your usage duration regardless of cluster creation. If the package expires but your cluster is not deleted, the billing mode will change to pay-per-use.
