Preparing a Development User
The development user is used to run the sample project. The user must have HBase permissions to run the OpenTSDB sample project.
Prerequisites
Kerberos authentication has been enabled for the MRS cluster. Skip this step if Kerberos authentication is not enabled for the cluster.
Procedure
- Log in to MRS Manager and choose System > Manage Role > Create Role, as shown in Figure 1.
- Enter a role name, for example, opentsdbrole.
- Edit a role. Choose in Permission. Select Read, Write, and Execute, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2.
- Choose to create a user group for the sample project, for example, opentsdgroup.
- Choose to create a user for the sample project.
- Enter a username, for example, opentsdbuser. Set User Type to Human-machine, and select opentsdb, hbase, opentsdbgroup, and supergroup in User Group. Set Primary Group to opentsdbgroup, select opentsdbrole in Assign Rights by Role, and click OK. Figure 3 shows the parameter settings.
- On MRS Manager, choose System > Manage User, select opentsdbuser, and modify the password. Choose from the Operation column on the right. Save the file and decompress it to obtain the user.keytab and krb5.conf files. The two files are used for security authentication in the sample project, as shown in Figure 4.
