Can On-premises Kubernetes Clusters Interconnect with HUAWEI CLOUD Storage Services?
On-premises Kubernetes clusters cannot interconnect with HUAWEI CLOUD storage services.
HUAWEI CLOUD CCE clusters use Huawei-developed storage add-ons, such as storage-driver or Everest, to connect to storage services. These add-ons are used to create and mount PVCs for storage resources.
However, these add-ons cannot be installed on on-premises Kubernetes clusters and PVCs cannot be created.
In addition, the YAML files of all PVCs in HUAWEI CLOUD storage service documentation are not applicable to on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
If you need to use HUAWEI CLOUD storage services, you are advised to deploy HUAWEI CLOUD CCE clusters.
