Obtaining the Project ID and Account ID from the Console
A project ID is required for some URIs when an API is called. Therefore, you need to obtain a project ID on the management console in advance.
To obtain the project ID, perform the following steps:
- Register an account and log in to the management console.
- Hover your cursor over the username and choose Basic Information from the drop-down list.
- On the Basic Information page, click Manage next to Security Credentials.

Obtaining a Project ID by Calling an API
A project ID can also be obtained by calling a specific API. For details, see Querying Project Information Based on the Specified Criteria.
The API for obtaining a project ID is GET https://{Endpoint}/v3/projects. {Endpoint} indicates the endpoint of IAM, which can be obtained from Regions and Endpoints. For details about API authentication, see Authentication.
The following is an example response. The value of id is the project ID.
